Lumaro Studio Independent studio

Ideas, brought to light.

An independent studio creating apps, digital services, and content with clarity, craft, and purpose.

The studio

Learn deeply. Make carefully.

Lumaro Studio creates apps, digital services, and content. We take each piece from the first question to something people can use.

We learn each problem closely, make each decision with care, and stay with the work after it ships.

Lumaro is a coined name. The three parts below are the inspiration behind it: an interpretation chosen for this studio, not a historical etymology.

The name: Lu, Ma, Ro

Lu / lumen

Studio studies

Self-initiated explorations. These are concepts, not client work or shipped products. Each one starts from a question we wanted to understand better.

Concept Interface study

A day on one screen

The question What does a daily planner look like when it shows only what matters next?

A planning screen that keeps the next three things in view and moves everything else out of the way until it is needed.

What it explores

  • Hierarchy that changes with the time of day
  • One primary action per screen
  • Quiet states for finished work

Self-initiated concept. Not a client project or a shipped product.

Concept Service flow study

Rescheduling without the back-and-forth

The question How can a small class schedule handle changes without a chain of messages?

A service flow for a small learning studio, where a parent asks to move a class and sees open times right away instead of waiting for replies.

What it explores

  • Two viewpoints in one flow: parent and studio
  • Showing options before asking for a choice
  • Confirmation and reminder as one step

Self-initiated concept. Not a client project or a shipped product.

Parent Studio Asks to move a class Open times appear Picks a new time Confirms the change Gets a reminder No messages needed between steps 1 and 3.

Concept Editorial study

How light becomes color

The question Can a scientific idea be understood in five frames, each carrying one thought?

A five-frame visual explainer that follows light from a source to a named color, written for readers with no science background.

What it explores

  • One idea per frame
  • Diagrams that read without a legend
  • Plain words before technical terms

Self-initiated concept. Not a client project or a shipped product.

01 Light arrives 02 Some is absorbed 03 The rest reflects 04 The eye receives it 05 “warm gold” The brain names it One idea per frame. Read left to right.

How we work

A thoughtful way of making.

  1. Understand

    Find the real question.

  2. Shape

Give the idea a clear structure.

  3. Build

Turn the structure into something tangible.

  4. Refine

Improve it through use, feedback, and attention.
